Hi, I’m Seeun Yeon
I work with individuals facing challenges that interfere with their well-being and sense of fulfillment. I am fluent in both English and Korean and offer therapy in both languages, providing culturally responsive care with a deep understanding of Asian cultural contexts and immigrant experiences.
I am passionate about helping people navigate the often complex process of growth. I believe deeply in our innate strengths, in the power of resilience, and in the importance of cultivating healthy and balanced perspectives. At the same time, I recognize that no one is meant to do this work alone. I strive to be part of a supportive community for my clients—walking alongside them, honoring their experiences, and supporting their growth with compassion and intention.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy exploring stories—both on the page and in the world around me. I’m drawn to literature that reflects social dynamics, identity, and human resilience, and I often recommend books such as Pachinko, The Scarlet Letter, Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, 1984, Fahrenheit 451, and Brave New World. In Boston, I love walking through Boston Common, going on Duck Tours, exploring college campuses, and discovering new restaurants through food tours—especially places like Neptune Oyster, The Daily Catch, Camelina, MuLan, Mahaniyom, and Great Taste Bakery.
My Approach
My therapeutic style is compassionate, adaptable, and client-centered. Drawing from my background in education, child development, and community engagement, I support clients in building resilience, strengthening self-understanding, and fostering meaningful growth in their lives.
I specialize in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, depression, major life transitions, religious and spiritual concerns, and challenges shaped by collectivistic cultural values. My work is grounded in compassion, cultural awareness, and practical tools that honor both individual identity and community context.
