Hi, I’m Seeun Yeon

I work with young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and relational and attachment-related concerns, particularly within culturally diverse communities. I offer therapy in both English and Korean, providing culturally responsive care informed by an understanding of both collectivistic and individualistic cultural contexts, intergenerational dynamics, and immigrant experiences.

I believe that growth is a deeply relational process. While I hold a strong belief in resilience and personal strengths, I also recognize that healing does not happen in isolation. I strive to create a supportive and reflective therapeutic space where clients feel accompanied, understood, and empowered to engage in meaningful change at their own pace.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy cooking. Following a step-by-step process keeps me grounded in the present, while allowing room for flexibility to adjust flavors with care for myself and the people I love. In Boston, I enjoy walking through Boston Common and exploring the city through food and local neighborhoods.

My Approach

My therapeutic style is compassionate, reflective, and client-centered. Drawing from my background in education, child development, and community-based work, I support clients in building resilience, deepening self-understanding, and fostering meaningful, sustainable growth.

In my clinical work, I take a trauma-informed and integrative approach, incorporating psychodynamic work, Internal Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. When appropriate, I also incorporate mindfulness-based practices to support emotional regulation, present-moment awareness, and increased attunement to internal experiences.

I am particularly attentive to emotional safety and thoughtful pacing, and to helping clients recognize and put words to emotional experiences that may feel confusing or difficult to name. I strive to balance depth-oriented insight with practical tools that clients can use both in and between sessions, while remaining attentive to the relational, cultural, and spiritual contexts that shape each client’s experience.
