Hi, I’m Hannah Odel
I have experience supporting individuals and couples as they navigate anxiety, trauma, identity development, adjustment stress, and relationship challenges.
I believe we are all predisposed to healing and deserve a warm, compassionate space to explore who we are and make sense of the world around us. I use a trust-centered, transparent approach to support clients as they navigate conflicts within themselves and in their relationships. I am honored to accompany both individuals and couples as they move toward deeper self-understanding, stronger relationships, and lasting well-being.
Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in meaningful conversations, thoughtful storytelling, and time spent outdoors. I enjoy walking around Walden Pond, the Chestnut Hill Reservoir, and the Charles River Esplanade, visiting special exhibitions at the Museum of Fine Arts, catching films at the Coolidge Corner Theatre, and treating myself to cannolis from Bova’s in the North End. I often recommend books such as Monsters in Love, Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents, As Long As You Need, Beyond Shame, and Big Friendship, as well as podcasts like Where Should We Begin?, Modern Love, and Other People’s Problems.
My Approach
I believe psychotherapy should offer a safe and collaborative space for reflection, healing, and deeper self-understanding. I value each client’s cultural background, lived experiences, and personal beliefs, and see them as essential parts of the therapeutic process.
I am trained in psychodynamic therapy, emotionally focused therapy (EFT), motivational interviewing, family systems therapy, and spiritually integrative therapy. My approach is trauma-informed and relational, grounded in transparency and trust. With dual training in social work and theology, I support clients in exploring the connections between their emotional, relational, and existential experiences.
I offer care rooted in authenticity, cultural humility, and curiosity. I am honored to walk alongside individuals and couples as they work toward healing, clarity, connection, and sustainable well-being.
