Hi, I’m Alice Aron
I believe deeply in the healing power of compassion—for ourselves and for others—and I bring this value into every therapeutic relationship. I see my role as a companion in the therapeutic process and offer a client-led, collaborative, and exploratory approach to therapy that honors the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit.
At the core of my work is the belief that self-knowledge, self-compassion, and self-empowerment are essential foundations for meaningful and lasting change. I emphasize cultivating emotional, cognitive, and nervous system awareness, while supporting clients in developing a nonjudgmental, informed, and compassionate relationship with themselves and their coping strategies.
Outside of the therapy room, I find inspiration in spaces and stories that invite reflection and presence. One of my favorite places in Boston is the Museum of Modern Renaissance. I often recommend the podcast Be Here Now, along with books such as Bodyfulness, Bearing the Unbearable, The Book of Ho’oponopono, and Waking the Tiger, which reflect my interest in embodiment, healing, and compassionate self-awareness.
My Approach
I specialize in working with adult individuals navigating the effects of trauma, grief, and major life transitions, as well as those experiencing existential distress, nihilism, creative blocks, and a sense of directionlessness. Drawing from mindfulness-based, expressive, and somatic approaches, I support clients in building emotional awareness, resilience, and self-trust.
My background in yoga, massage therapy, and non-dualist philosophy informs my holistic understanding of how stress and trauma are held in the mental, physical, and emotional body. This allows me to meet each client with attunement, curiosity, and deep respect for their inner experience.
